Thorpeness Village Store

Situated in the picturesque seaside village of Thorpeness, the Village Store is the heart of the community for both local residents and tourists alike.

Opening hours

Mon - Sun: 8am - 4pm

Stocking a variety of products from your basic essentials such as bread, milk and loo roll to more luxurious products including Olga's homemade Thorpeness fudge and jams, a large range of scrumptious jams, preserves and ready meals produced by The Dolphin Inn.

There is also an extensive deli counter offering Suffolk ham that has been glazed on the premises, local sausages and bacon, and a selection of local cheeses.  Every morning there are freshly baked croissants and pastries - which really get your mouth watering and at Lunchtime homemade sausage rolls (which are becoming somewhat legendary amongst the villagers!) and a selection of pasties.

The aim of the Shop is to provide a much needed service to the community which supports local producers and suppliers whilst at the same time being sustainable.  Where possible we try to source organic and environmentally friendly products.

We also sell postcards, greetings cards and stamps and have recently started stocking a small selection of gifts - this proved very popular over the festive season for those last minute purchases as did our 'Build your own Hamper' offer.  Hampers are available all year round and make an original ideal present.
